Web accessibility means that websites, tools, and technologies are designed and developed so that people with disabilities can use them. More specifically, people can: a) perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the Web b) contribute to the Web

Why should your website be accessible?

It is important that the Web be accessible to everyone in order to provide equal access and equal opportunity to people with disabilities. about 15 percent of the world's population experience some form of disability, according to The Internet Society Accessibility Special Interest Group. An accessible Web can help people with disabilities participate more actively in society. Many counties like Canada and the US are enforcing we accessibility by law too.

How does the accessibility is measured and regulated?

Accessibility of a website is assessed towards the standards set by W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) which is called WCAG. Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 defines how to make Web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Accessibility involves a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.WCAG guidelines are categorized into three levels of conformance in order to meet the needs of different groups and different situations: A (lowest), AA (mid range), and AAA (highest). Accessibility is also supported and encouraged by law, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) sets guidelines to a website to be accessible.

Will Accessibly make my website WCAG 2.1 & ADA complaint?

No. Even though Accessibly contributes immensly towards making your website WCAG and ADA complaint, we do not make the website 100% accessible because we do not cover the modifications that should be made in basic code of a website.

What does Accessibly NOT offering towards WCAG 2.1 & ADA compliance ?

Accessibly mainly enhances the distinguishability and adaptability of the content. We do not cover other WCAG-characteristics like Keyboard accessibility, navigability etc. because these demand the source code access.
